What exactly is a vegan diet?

could you tell me what a vegan diet is, and/or provide me a link to a sight that explains it. It is for a school report. What exactly is a vegan diet?
A vegan diet is cutting out all products that have to do with animals. That means cutting out on meat, dairy, chocolates and lots of other things. You must receive your daily amount of calcium through calcium pills. It is really a hard process but in the end you can save so many animals from just cutting these foods out of your own diet. What exactly is a vegan diet?
Veganism is not just a diet, it is a lifestyle. Vegans refuse to consume (eat, wear, use) anything produced from animals. This means: no milk, eggs, cheese, yogurt, leather, wool, skin, meat, honey, gelatin... Nothing that has any part of an animal in it should be purchased or used. It is a very strict lifestyle and from the nutritional standpoint, not the healthiest. Vegetarians statistically live longer than vegans, and this probably has something to do with lack of nutrient-rich vegan products in the stores.
A vegan does not eat meat (including fish), eggs and diary product. The motivation is often arises from compassion for other animals. Eggs and diary products are included because the process of egg and diary farming often involve some mistreatment to such animals.

Email Bizarro, a famous comic artist. He is a vegan and a keen activist. There is nothing like an interview with a vegan to get information. What exactly is a vegan diet?
well.. its not the best diet plan to go on first of all.. basically you dont eat anything that comes from animals. eggs, chicken, milk, bread, etc (all the important stuff)

its like being a vegetarian except vegetarians just dont eat animal products where animals have to be killed to get it (meats, etc) except vegans also dont eat anything that comes from animals even if the animals arnt killed in the process.

Basically they eat natural products from the earth and tofu and there are really cool vegan recipes here:

basically, you are a vegitarian, plus you have no dairy products. so you are allowed just natural foods like rice or vegetables, etc. It is very rough. If you do decide to go on it, I recomend going to one of those health supplement stores and they will give you pills for calcium and such. What exactly is a vegan diet?
Vegans do not eat any flesh or use products that come from animals such as milk, butter, honey, eggs. Do your own research and find a site (not sight) on the internet. Helping is not doing your work for you.
Vegan is where you eat NOTHING that comes from animals, vegetarians don't eat meat but vegans don't eat meat, eggs, milk ect.
simply, nothing from an animal, if it comes from an animal, don't eat it.
Vegans are people who eat no form of an animal product.

They don't eat eggs, fish, chicken, cheese, milk...

So on and so forth.
no meat, no dairy, just fruits and veggies - goggle it!
