Sample vegan diet for a 10 month old?

Please post a sample menu for 2-3 days for a 10 month old who is still on BM and some soy formula.

I am looking for ideas on some varieties of food to give.Sample vegan diet for a 10 month old?
You'll have to find a well-educated very good nutritionist that isn't dead-set against veganism. Some doctors (Like the one the other answer mentioned) are going to tell you no. You have to find a dietician who can tell you exactly what nutrients your baby needs, and how to get them from plant sources.

Meanwhile I suggest as much BM as you can give him (use a pump and bottle feed, at that age) and a wide variety of fruits, grains, nuts, and vegetables (especially green leafy vegetables.)Sample vegan diet for a 10 month old?
ok you need to speak to a pediatrician...my niece is vegan and she wants her child to be vegan, but her doctor strongly advised against it...her 2 year old now eats a balanced diet, and when he gets older he can decide for himself what he wants to eat...please speak to a doctor
Talk to your child's pediatrician. Diets for young children are very tricky. They have different needs than older children and adults. For instance, fat is extremely important in brain development.Sample vegan diet for a 10 month old?
Have his teeth come in yet? If they have started coming in then wean him off breast milk and ease into rice/soy milk combonation. I would highly recommend getting a hand held blender. I got a good one for $20 at walmart. You can make your own food.

Day 1

Breakfast- Blended strawberries and bananas

snack- 3 oz of soy milk

Lunch- blended carrots and spinach

snack-soy milk with 1 tbs oats and peanut butter blended together

Dinner- Blended peas and tomatos (use only a small amount of tomato's) and blended cooked asperagus

Day 2

Breakfast- Blended cantaloupe and blended potatos

Snack- 3 oz of soy milk

Lunch- Blended cucumbers and blended grapes

Snack- blended apricots

Dinner- blended black beans and blended yams

Day 3

Breakfast- blended plums and blended bananas

snack- 3 oz soy milk

Lunch- blended beets with ginger.

snack- soy milk with 1 tsp oats

Dinner- blended green beans and blended carrots

Make sure you are starting to give him water too. As he begins to move around more he will need water to hydrate him. Most people rely solely on milk when the baby cries they don't realize it can be due to a muscle cramp from dehydration. Babies don't need nearly as much water as adults but about 6-8 oz a day should be good for his age.

I do not have a sample menu available.. would suggest posting at Vegsource - on their parenting board.

Am attaching another link to an article that gives lots of info and sample menus.

Please do not be put off raising a vegan child. It is far healthier as long as you research it properly. Good luck!
That is honestly way to young to try to get a child to be vegan.

The baby is still growing and needs all kinds of nutrients.. don't deprieve him/her of them.
