What is a good Vegan diet that discourages Candida yeast growth?

Marcus, thank you for your nice comment on my last answer.

i am not stalking you lol. i just see a lot of your questions in my contact question box.

i have been a vegetarian (not a vegan) traveling to different countries. i can tell you from experience that the food available in North America for Vegans is more encouraging the Candida yeast growth than the food elsewhere. so the key is pretend you don't see much of variety that there is in a typical North American super market. there are legume types that are better for Candida than others, so use lots of that. less white sugar, more dried fruits esp figs if you have blood type "O", less tofu, more dried soy (i can tell you how to make them yum), a lot of fiber through fresh vegetables and basic fruits. where i live now ( there is a lot of guest come and go) each house who invites a guest has to have basic fruits such as little cucumbers, apples and pears, oranges or grapefruits and a fresh salad or nice green to go with the main course (if any). so like me, you can pretend that your mother in law will kill you if she comes to your house and you don't have such things :) ha ha :) and always stalk up. stalk up things that you can and are good for that diet, that's the key. avoid sweet Hawain fruits. Ginger is good.

i am prety sure you know this but don't be too hard on your diet! also meditation helped me to keep my vegetarian diet. some that i know can't keep it if they are not in to meditation. it just strongly tells you that there is a living entity looking at you through the eyes of a pig or a chicken and else and keeps you on the good side happily.

sorry if it is too long.

good luck. What is a good Vegan diet that discourages Candida yeast growth?
Avoid anything with yeast and/or sugar. There are breads without yeast and brown rice pastas. Eat vegetables and a limited amount of fruit.

I have had this nightmare condition since last November, and I finally found something to help me. Dr. Leo Galland, a physician in New York, gave grapefruit seed extract to 279 patients in order for them to get rid of their candida, and only 2 patients failed to be cured. I am using the Nutribiotics liquid brand which you can buy at Whole Foods or online. The different brands vary in effectiveness.

When yeast are killed, they release toxins. You will be feverish and/or have a headache when the yeast are killed. This is referred to as a "die off" period. It should be temporary. I don't know how long you need to take the extract, but it may be for a few weeks (or maybe even months?).What is a good Vegan diet that discourages Candida yeast growth?
