How to count protein in a vegan diet?

So say I get 5 grams of protein from beans, and I get 5 grams from grains, to make a complete protein.. would this count as 10 grams of protein for the day or would it really only be 5 grams in total(because you have to combine to make it complete)How to count protein in a vegan diet?
You would add them together, but counting just protein content can be misleading. Really you should count complete protein.

A protein is an organic compounds made of amino acids. Really it is amino acids you need, not protein. Ore more specifically, protein is too generic a term to use. There are 8 amino acids that are considered essential. That is your body can not make them and you need them to survive.

Of concern to a vegetarian are lysine and methionine. Methionine is one of the sulfur amino acids and is generally found in grains and animal sources (with the exception of the soy bean). This is why grains are mixed with beans, as in beans and rice.

Disbelieving scientific evidence evidence is your choice. But it is not myth, nor is it some political statement that you body needs complete proteins. How to count protein in a vegan diet?
plant protein is ALL we need as far as our protein source! we don't actually need any protein to have muscles. seriously. We need amino acids to make muscles!! which yes, protein gives us those amino acids, BUT it's just another set for our bodies to have to break them down. .....so by eating raw fruits and vegetables, our bodies are getting enzymes, which then in cracked down into amino acids (and that by itself refuels the body!)...whereas if we were to eat protein from dairy or meat, our bodies have to break it down into enzymes and THEN into amino acids - a whole other extra step! why protein, then?....no need. protein is a full on myth! do the research yourself to figure it out.

You don't have to combine protein. That myth was debunked years ago and even the person who originally came up with the protein combining theory agrees that she was incorrect.

edit - Everyone knows that your body needs complete proteins. Now scientists know that your body is adept at combining the protein you consume throughout the day without having to have complete proteins at every meal. How to count protein in a vegan diet?
It counts as 10 grams of protein.
