Im trying to go back to veganism (or very strict vegetarian) ....
is this good? (what i ate today)
breakfast
a banana
water
snack
orange
1/3 cup of roasted/lightly salted soy nuts
water
lunch
a big salad with romaine lettuce and fat free dressing
1 slice of wheat bread with about a tbsp or less of light peanut butter
water
a cup of green tea
dinner
never had it but ill probably just have 1-1.5 servings of rice w/ chili powder or salt.
is that ok??Vegan diet?
What you are eating is healthy but you are not eating enough. Try to incorporate dairy free milks into your daily diet. Soy milk is a great source of protein.
If this is your daily diet, it's simply not enough and I would be worried for your health. For example, a salad at lunch is not sustaining enough for a young girl. Remember that veganism is not a weight loss programme. It's not about starving or limiting yourself. Broaden your horizons, experiment wih new foods.
Beans, nuts and wholegrain bread and cereals are health boosting, nutritious foods. Don't leave them off your shopping list. The key to good health is variety!Vegan diet?
It doesn't sound like very much Allison, but yes, that's pretty good.
Are you trying to lose weight? Even so, I don't think it's not enough. The nuts and peanut butter are good sources of protein but eat at least a full serving. Don't sacrifice good nutrition to lose weight, and you certainly don't need to sacrifice good nutrition to be vegan. I'm a vegan and I'm maintaining a 100 pound weight loss and I eat quite a bit more than you have listed here.
Eat, drink and be vegan! :o)Vegan diet?
Sounds like you do not eat enough..Add more to each meal..like fruits and veggies
For me, I will buy all kind of friuts, nuts and vegetable.
Eat as much as I can.Vegan diet?
This absalutely brilliant for a vegan. Your diet may leave you lacking in essential things like fish oil different vitamins. You should take cod liver oils.
xx
That's very healthy, and 100% vegan
But you need to be eating more, to get more energy and calories in you.
I suggest:
Chop that banana over some muesli or weetabix, in the morning, and pour a plant milk all over it. (soya milk, rice milk etc.)
When having lunch, add some protein to it, the salads great, just add something like kidney beans, chick peas or some tofu, for added protein, iron etc.
Make sure to have dinner. Have the rice, but add more, have a vegetable curry along side it, or some vegan chilli.
The amount of water your drinking is good, so keep that up :)
Just remeber, as a vegan, to get all the nutrients your body needs, and enjoy being a vegan. More about nutrition (protein, iron, B12, calcium, vitamins etc) here - http://www.vegansociety.com/html/home.ph鈥?/a>
Hope this helps and the best of luck.
