How would being on a vegan diet affect one's good cholesterol level?

I'm just curious, I know it would reduce the overall cholesterol of a person but if their good cholesterol was borderline to begin with, how would it affect it?How would being on a vegan diet affect one's good cholesterol level?
As you may have heard, the profile for heat disease is not really based on total cholesterol, but rather the ratio of HDL to total cholesterol. An even better indicator is the ratio of HDL to triglycerides.



You can limit triglycerides by avoiding processed carbs like refined sugar, white rice, and white flour products. But what about raising HDL?



One of the best ways of increasing HDL is from saturated fat. Since many sources of saturated fat are from animals. That's obviously a non-starter for a vegan.



The smart vegan finds it in virgin coconut oil. It is a plant based source rich in healthy saturated fat.



Many people are under the impression that saturated fat is bad. Until recently, I was one of them. A recent incident in my life forced me to re-examine the types of foods I was consuming. This led me to the important discovery that saturated fats are actually a very healthy type of food. I now make sure I consume a sufficient amount of saturated fat in my daily diet.How would being on a vegan diet affect one's good cholesterol level?
It would lower. Vegans don't have a healthy source of cholesterol. Vegans don't have a lot of things. I hate vegans. They're all unhealthy from b12 deficiency and not enough fat. Soy is also packed full of tribson inhibitors, which they know nothing about.
By lowering bad cholesterol, a persons good cholesterol usually goes up. Besides cholesterol being helped, a vegan also stays slimmer, more fit, and a lot healthier.How would being on a vegan diet affect one's good cholesterol level?
A vegan diet is solely plant-based, so there is no intake of cholesterol whatsoever. The good news is that your liver will produce all of the cholesterol you need...so I don't really think there is such thing as not having enough cholesterol, the problems arise when someone ingests too much of it.



"Cholesterol is so important that the body produces its own cholesterol. If there is not enough cholesterol in the diet, then it is produced in the body. A balance between cholesterol from the diet and cholesterol produced by the body is always maintained. An adult on a cholesterol free diet can be producing up to a gram of cholesterol a day."



Sweet pork - I'm sorry you feel that way, but I don't hate you for what you choose to eat or not eat.
I couldn't say for everyone but I just had a blood test a month ago and my bad cholesterol was negligible and my good cholesterol was quite high...How would being on a vegan diet affect one's good cholesterol level?
