Converting cat to a fully vegan diet?

I am converting my cat to vegan because he should do his part to reduce the environmental impact from meat production and transportation, especially since I will never go vegan. But he's extremely resistant to his new vegan diet; he won't eat his veggies at all. I've even tried dipping them in BBQ sauce and chicken broth. I've explained several times that it's good for the earth and he's smart so I know he gets it but he still refuses to eat the vegetables. What can I do to make my cat respect my wishes and embrace his new vegan diet?Converting cat to a fully vegan diet?
You attempted to troll with this scenario yesterday. Glad to see you took my advice and left out the declawing part- it's a little more believable. Next time, leave out the chicken broth part- some bbq sauce is vegan, btw.

Trollscore: 3/10. Really quite a sad attempt. /:Converting cat to a fully vegan diet?
No offence but this is your cats choice-not yours. You know the saying:

"You can lead a horse to water but you cant make him drink"?

Well this is: "You can lead a cat to veggies but you cant make him eat"

You were saying that becoming vegan will help reduce the environmental impact from meat production and transportation. Well if you go vegan your cat wont have to. Making your cat do something that you don't want to do is unfair. It would actually be better if you went vegan because you eat more than your cat- Im not being offencive. Cats need meat to survive.
Trolling or not, I don't understand why you would force your beliefs on an animal that by nature and by design eats meat and would do so by choice, if he had one, which with you he clearly does not.

Besides that, as a cat owner, if you are indeed one, which I doubt, you would know that cats do exactly what they want when they want...and if you continue to try to feed a cat something he doesn't want, if he gets the chance, he'll go elsewhere to get what he does want.Converting cat to a fully vegan diet?
This is silly and is very likely to lead to your cat getting sick or dying. If you can't stand the thought of your cat getting the meat he requires to stay healthy, give him to someone who will feed him properly. Get a rabbit if you want a vegetarian pet. But since you say you will never go vegan, I think you're trolling here. I'm giving the advice for the sake of your cat, just in case you're serious.
are you trying to troll vegans by saying cats are designed to eat meat just like humans ?and that fighting nature is stupid? really cant stand vegetarians or vegans who cry about animal rights and BS go vegetarian like me for health reasons not stupid reasons like animal rights hogwash.Converting cat to a fully vegan diet?
First of all, cats are CARNIVORES so you are killing him by giving him something he was not made to eat. Secondly, do you know where chicken broth comes from?! Chickens!!! If you aren't even vegan, why are you forcing your poor cat to be? Give that cat some fish!
Um, something like this was already posted not too long ago. So either lame troll minds think alike . . .or you're the same person who posted the last one. Either way, 2 points. :)
Grow up! Seriously.
Another boring day, huh?!?
TROLL - thanks for the 2 points!
DON'T FEED THE TROLLLLLLLL
Troll points!
Sheesh, not even a good joke...
You don't say if you're feeding your cat vegetarian cat food, or if you're feeding him your own veggies. Make sure you're feeding your cat food that is made for cats so he will get the nutrition he needs. Also, why should your cat go vegan if you're not? One more important thing... when changing any pet's diet, it should be done gradually, first mixing a small amount in the food he's used to. Then a little more, and a little more and so on. It should take about a week to make the transition. Again, make sure you're feeding your cat ONLY cat food... not people food. Then think about respecting HIS wishes if he doesn't take to this new diet you're forcing upon him.

FYI, contrary to what another answer stated, all cats do NOT need fish. Males especially. Males are more susceptable to urinary tract infections, which can be brought on by eating too much fish. I have 2 male cats who never get fish. Another common miss-belief... cats should never have milk or cream either. It's not good for them. There is milk type product formulated for cats that can be purchase in most pet food stores and in some markets. But then again, if your cat is vegan, you wouldn't be giving him milk or cream anyway.
