I was wondering if a vegetarian diet would help with wrinkles.
Do you have any experiences yourself with skin when you started going on a vegetarian/vegan diet. Can a vegetarian/vegan diet help with wrinkles?
As long as you eat a balanced vegetarian diet, yes.
Also, one time I saw on Dr. Oz that anything refined will add to wrinkles and he specified white flour, white rice, white sugar. Can a vegetarian/vegan diet help with wrinkles?
It's impossible to get rid of wrinkles. That's why, if you listen to any of the skin cream ads, they only promise to improve the "appearance" of wrinkles as opposed to getting rid of them all together.
That said, eating a healthy vegetarian diet ( by which I mean, a variety of vegetables, fruit, nuts, seeds, avocados ) will certainly help you skin by providing it with the nourishment that it needs. Getting enough sleep is also really important for your skin's appearance. And of course, protect it from too much sun though a little is quite good for it.Can a vegetarian/vegan diet help with wrinkles?
well... if you eat lots of nuts, seeds, other things with oils in them, and don't consume meat with everything that's in it - all the chemicals and hormones etc. - then probably your skin will get better. i know a 25 y/o girl who went vegetarian, then vegan, and now she's a raw foodist %26amp; lots of people actually ask her how she got rid of all the wrinkles that she had (not much, as 25 year old, of course), her skin is pretty amazing now.
if your diet gets healthier then of course your skin will benefitCan a vegetarian/vegan diet help with wrinkles?
No. The veg*n diet is not magic for health or beauty.
If you gain weight, your skin stretches as you get bigger. As you get older, your skin gets dryer, especially if you spend a lot of time outside.
In fact, if you go veg*n and lose a lot of weight quickly, you'll have more wrinkles because your skin won't shrink as fast as you lose fat.
Genetics are important in whether you'll have wrinkles or not. But maintaining a steady weight can make a difference, too. Humans do best on a balanced diet: some meat, some veggies, some fruit, restrict grains and sugars.
