1400 calories is not enough on any diet. You need to eat 1800-2000 calories a day, and possibly more depending on how active you are.Is ok to have a 1400 calorie vegan diet?
In the case of most people no. Quite frankly that's too low for anyone unless they are temporarily on a calorie restricted diet for medical reasons. More than likely you're just barely meeting your basal metabolic rate. That is essentially the calories that are required to maintain all your body's processes on a daily basis. Go below that and you're essentially killing yourself. Now you can get by meeting just your BMR, but you quite literally couldn't be doing anything else other than sit in bed all day long.
Let's use a more extreme example, you have a 16 year old girl, 5'2, and 90 lbs. Her BMR is about 1260 calories a day. Remember that's not including any calories required for any sort of activity. I'd assume yours will most likely be quite a bit higher than hers, and consider you probably do at least a few things like walking and potentially picking things up off the ground then you'll have the additional caloric requirements. Calories are not bad things that should be restricted. In my case I need at least 3000 if not 4000 calories a day and I'm only a guy that's 6'2 and 180lbs. Most of those calories are due to my requirements for physical activity for work. In your case, you might be able to survive on 1400 calories, but it's not healthy, and people's requirements being different doesn't account for that. If you do get by on that much it's assuming you really don't do any physical activity, which is as bad, if not worse than the people who overindulge on more food than they need.
Bump your calories up to 2000 or so and adjust from there. If it seems like you're getting "fat" or have other issues from it you either have a self image problem, or more than likely you simply are not getting enough exercise. The exercise required to maintain body weight for most individuals at 2000 calories is relatively low, so there shouldn't be any issues keeping it around there. 1400 is just too low for for any regular teen or adult even if they just sat around all day.
"It depends on how active you are, your age, weight, height and metabolism. A 1400 calorie diet can provide sufficient nutrients if it is a well planned diet."
Just to reiterate since that post covered good points, but no combination of those should lead to a 1400 calorie diet. The only way you really can be below 1400 is if you're still a young child. However, most people posting here I would figure would be over 10 years old, so that point is moot. A "good" diet will never be at 1400 calories for a normal person. Calories are nutrients too, and you get problems if you don't have enough of them as with any nutrient. I don't care how well you plan your diet or what you even eat, if all your other nutrients are fine, but calories are below the requirements, then you still have an unhealthy diet.

I run 50 mile races and I'm an adult vegetarian.
Yes, you can get all the nutrients and calories you need on a vegan diet. Rice and beans are great fillers and a great source of protein. The biggest issue for me was getting enough to eat, and you can do that by experimenting with things like rice, beans, pasta, tofu, protein shakes, nuts, etc.Is ok to have a 1400 calorie vegan diet?
the calories dont matter I eat about 600 a day, am vegetarian and fine. Its really that you need to make sure with those calories you eat the right things. eat a protien source and only nutrinally valuble food.. if most of your calories arent something like fruits veggies calicum, and you have too much carbs then its bad
Depends on your size re: calories. As for the nutrients, just make sure you are varying what you're eating. Vegetables, fruit, beans/cuts, etc. Don't just only eat one kind of thing. You can take a multi-vitamin every day too.Is ok to have a 1400 calorie vegan diet?
calorie intake is fine you just need to make sure you are getting plenty of fresh fruits and veggies, beans tofu, nuts, almond milk greek yogurt cheese etc for protien and vitamins also reccomend you take flax seed oil
Depends directly on your size, weight, build, activity level, etc. An adult of any standards should eat at least 1800, usually 2000 or more. I need at least 4000 calories a day to maintain my body weight.

Everyone's different so I can't sit here and tell you that you'll be fine on a 1400 calorie diet. You should consult a doctor first.
Talk to your doctor. If you are doing it to loose weight, try just cutting down on portion sizes but do your research to get the right nutrients.
yes, especially because most healthy foods have very low calories. (ex. apples)
This is just my opinion but probably an 11 year old couldn't get enough from a vegan or 1400 calorie diet
Vegans live a life as long as a hog dog, they don't last very long when it gets serious.
