I started eating a vegan diet recently, all I eat is veggies, foods that are organic, no sugar, no hydroginated oil, im making sure im getting all my nutrients and am on a healthy diet plan with my nutritionalist. Will I lose weight soon? It's been a month. My vegan diet and losing weight?
After becoming vegan, it took about two months to see any weight loss for me. It takes a while for your body to acclimate to a new lifestyle. Never starve yourself though. Always eat when you are hungry and your metabolism will thank you in the end. Keep it up and you will see results. Also, your weight loss may be hindered if you consume too much alcohol, as in my case...but will eventually come off. Don't be deterred by not losing weight. It sounds like you are eating great but just to be sure, don't fill up on just rice, pasta, beans, etc. Keep your food varied. My vegan diet and losing weight?
u should have lost weight already
It depends on how many calories you're eating. While you may be eating healthy, vegan, organic etc. food, it may be high in calories. You need to eat less calories than you expend to lose weight. A pound is 3,500 calories. You also need to be working out regularly, or you run the chances of losing weight - from your muscles! (Just a bit bad...)My vegan diet and losing weight?
It depends on how much you eat (portion-wise), how many calories you eat, how active you are, and how fast (or slow) your metabolism is.
www.sparkpeople.com (as aaquariumgirll suggested) is a great way to track your caloric intake and daily activity and it is totally free. www.gyminee.com is another great fitness site (it's also free).
That depends on a lot of things. Vegan does not mean low calorie so I would recommend trying to gauge your caloric intake each day. Also, the more dense the veggies and grains you eat, the more likely you are to lose weight.
Make sure you are drinking enough water (64 oz a day) and getting exercise to help get the weight moving.
Good luck!!My vegan diet and losing weight?
The best way to lose weight (fat) is to EXERCISE.
Raise your metabolism.
The fat will just melt away no matter what it is that you are eating.
Trying to lose weight with diet is just silly. I believe being a vegetarian or vegan is great, but don't rely on diet a lone to lose weight. If you are eating a good diet with enough nutrients etc., what reason does your body have to start taking nutrients from your stored fat areas? None. So, you exercise. Force your body to take fat from your stored areas.
If you want to lose weight with diet alone, you will have to eat less energy in the form of food, thus your metabolism will go down -- not good, because when you start to eat normally again, guess what, your body will quickly put fat stores back on the body preparing for the next time you starve yourself.
u should have already,
i stoped eating meat/eggs only and i already lost 5lbs. and ive only been veg for a lil bit over a week
It depends on you calorie intake. Keep track of your calories.
I have been using this site to keep track of mine.

You can get programs for your cell and stuff too.
OMG if you havent lost weight already theres something wrong. Maybe you're eating too many potatoes, not enough greens, too much pasta or bread ect. . . Maybe there's too much oil in your cooking and probably too much salt.
If your nutritionist tolerates that, Change!!! You need results!
