Does a Vegetarian and or Vegan diet prove more beneficial for weight loss?

Hello again!

I really would like to shed some pounds before December when my boyfriend comes to visit, and I was wondering if a strict Vegetarian or Vegan diet would be more beneficial when it comes to loosing weight?

Any information on the matter would be awesome.

Thank you!Does a Vegetarian and or Vegan diet prove more beneficial for weight loss?
Hello,

If you go vegan, you can definitely expect to lose some body mass.

(Assuming you are on a heavy meat eating diet).

1. You are giving up meat, eggs, cheese, and milk. All of which are loaded with protein. Unused protein turns to fat.

2. You are giving up other things usually eaten with meat. ex. no more things like sandwiches; meat (protein), covered with cheese (protein, fat), surrounded by two pieces of bread (carbs).

Of course, if you don't stick to a healthy vegan diet (ie you go junkfood vegan). To answer your question, yes, you will lose some weight, if you are strict and do it right, and you don't need things like fish oil, eggs, milk. etc.

Good Luck and Congrats!Does a Vegetarian and or Vegan diet prove more beneficial for weight loss?
Yes it will. I was watching some documentaries on Netflix and a lot of people suggest that people who go vegan tend to lose fat more faster than anything in the world. Eating anything that is not grow from the grow is bad for you. Even milk is bad for you. Anything that walks talk or has a parent is bad for consuming.Does a Vegetarian and or Vegan diet prove more beneficial for weight loss?
Probably, since meat is fatty and hi cal, even "lean" cuts.

Dont go too strict tho, egg white %26amp; skim milk are good food, and fish or fish oil' recommended.

The bottom line is cals eaten vs cals burned.

A full meat eater could lose excess bod fat, not "weight," too.
