Feeding my cat a vegan diet, any suggestions on what to feed her?

I am bringing my cat along with me as I transition to a full vegan lifestyle. However, I am worried about how my cat will get her protein. Do you think ground soy burger will be a good substitute? If not, then what? Beans?Feeding my cat a vegan diet, any suggestions on what to feed her?
No cats are carnivores, they need meat in order to survive. Their physiology requires it.

You MUST understand that a cat is not a human... you are an omnivore that can live off of no meat products albeit not as healthy as your meat eating counterparts. A Cat is an OBLIGATE CARNIVORE (Biologically speaking) and cannot live without a source of meat protein. Beans and such will not provide the nutrients that a cat needs. FOr eg. Creatine is a naturally occuring chemical of red meat, you cannot get it from any vegetable protein. It is critical for ATP production and the krebbs cycle. Without it, the cat will begin to suffer from lack of energy.... Etc.

This diet will lead to the cat's early death, I hope you will reconsider.



Soy, beans of any kind, etc. will NOT provide the necessary amino acids that your cat needs.... DO NOT humanize your pets.
NOOO NOOOO NOOOO - cats HAVE to eat meat. There are certain things in meat that are not found in vegen diets - one being taurine - without it the cat will go blind. Also cats HAVE to have meat and higher protein - they will get very sick and die a painful death if you try to make them eat vegetables.



If you cannot accept feeding your cat a high quality MEAT canned, dry and raw diet, then please rehome your cat immediately.

Cats are not like dogs, although dogs are carnivores, they can survive on a 30% protein diet, CATS NEED AT LEAST 80%



They are designed as CARNIVORES they are HUNTERS, PREDATORS. THEY KILL THINGS!



Its not a humans, do not control and manipulate animals even more, cats are hardly changed from their ancestors (African wildcats and European wildcat) They need MEAT.

If you want a veggie pet, get a rabbit or a goat. NOT A CAT.

CATS ARE CARNIVORES, if you do not provide meat for your cat, it will get really sick and skinny. Also this can be abuse and the cats can be taken away and you given a big fine and jail time. Our cats were vegan for a few years. We really enjoyed having the house all vegan, partly for me because I don't love to clean and the lack of animal product in the house made my mess less troublesome.



We fed using a vegan cat food called Wysong. It was hard to find in the local store, but was better than other mail order stuff we tried. Use the wet version because cats are often dehydrated and don't care for water straight up.



Soy burger helps a bit. Our cats loved tempe + nutritional yeast every day with their Wysong.



But here's the kicker. The cats got sick with anemia and several other problems. It became apparent that they truly cannot survive on a vegan diet alone. Their stomach is small and has the chemistry to digest large amounts of protein. Their poop stank horribly when they were on the vegan food. We were out a few $ grand because of this.



We transitioned them over to a raw meat product you can find at natural health stores and they are doing much better now.
you are being cruel to your cat she doesnt want to not eat meat,cats eat meat/ if your cat could talk and ask YOU to never take a bath ,to only wash yourself with your tounge(because your cat hates water and dont beleive in baths) would you do it? if you want to only eat vegatables thats fine but feed your cat cat food or it will NOT be healthy!!!

You're joking right!? You have to take on board that your cat is a carnivore and must eat a diet that it's designed for, and designed for it! Please, please don't make up a vegan diet for your cat you will harm it.
I have to answer this. You may not realize but this is animal cruelty. How would you feel if somebody forces you to eat meat knowing that you are a vegan?

No, no no, a cat has to have taurine in their diets or they will go blind. Taurine can only be derived from meat.
They are carnivores, you cant not feed her meat, its cruel.

My cats are vegans, both are in their early TWENTIES. It never ceases to amaze me how many people think sources are somehow more important than nutrition.
